After our time in the south of Germany, it was only fair that we visited Berlin, famous for itsinternational culture and night-life. We ran into both of these aspects on the first night, partying till late (ie. early!) with a group of Estonian school students. Our sigtseeing started little late the next day, and took in the Remembrance church (bombed at the end of WWII, the roof was left in its broken state after an unexploded ordnance fell through), the Victory tower (and Geordie's new haircut) and finally the Brabdenburg gate. I told Geordie about how strict the Germans can be with their rules, so he had to test the theory ("Rasen betreten verboten" = "Walking on grass FORBIDDEN" ;-) We had some more impromptu parties in our room, followed by another day's sightseeing, visiting the remains of the Berlinwall and the old Checkpoint Charlie.
